Maureen says…

“My working background mostly lies within the Fashion industry. I have assisted for fashion stylists on set for campaigns and magazines, as well as worked in various other roles operating closely with Fashion. Seeking more of an interest in creative direction and the production side of the industry piqued my interest in curation and exhibitions. Currently, I am part of the young people’s collective, CreateVoice, at the Victoria and Albert Museum where my time with them has inspired me to explore more immersive and interactive ways to explore Fashion.

As the creative industry is highly competitive, I’m extremely grateful for the STEP programme as it allows young people the chance to earn a place, working at two top industry companies. I am currently working at a film location agency, The Film Office, and will then go on to work at LCF’s Fashion Space Gallery. By the end of the internship, I hope to feel more assured about the direction I’m is taking with my career. A permanent job would be great too!”
